Our beaches

Clean, sandy, blue flag awarded and huge beaches will satisfy all your needs. You can find chilled and relaxing beaches, either cosmopolitan and busy, or familly liked. Are you ready for your greatest time of this summer?

Thines beach

The famous beach of Vartholomio is located 5km away from the town just in front of a big forest. The water is crystal and the beach is huge and sandy. Every year is awarded with the blue flag. There are 2 coffee-cocktail bars on the beach offering you many umbrellas and sun-loungers for free. For this reason, be polite and order something. Often on Sundays there are beach parties and taking place starting from the evening until the sunset (which is more than perfect ). The weekends is very busy. People are mostly teenagers and adults but in the mornings you it is full of families. There is a big parking and other plenty of space around for your car.

Glyfa beach

This very beautiful sandy beach is located at Glyfa. A small seaside holiday resort village where locals have their cottages. There are also few good hotels and studios to rent. The beach is located just in front of a big pine-tree forest where it ends few meters before the sea and is Blue flag awarded. There is a cantine which servers almost everything, with the umbrellas and sun-loungers offered to you for free. In the nearby seaside tavern you can have the best and most fresh fish you have ever eaten.

Arkoudi beach

This small scenic gulf is located 15km away from Vartholomio. The small village called Arkoudi, is a amphitheatric resort full of hotels, studios and rooms to rent as well as excellent taverns, souvenir shops and mini markets. It really looks like an island. Arkoudi is very famous to the whole region and specially in Patras city! It is used to be cosmopolitan and very touristic since the early 90's due to the nightclubs and many hotels. Today there are few cocktail bars by the sea. Honestly, here you will drink the best cocktails you will ever have. There are many umbrellas and sun-loungers offered for free. Enjoy a fruit salad, a cocktail or a mocktail on the beach. On weekends it is extremely crowded and with very nice people. Make sure you arrive early. The sunset is a must see as the sun goes down between Zakynthos and Kefallonia.
